Easter in Florida - it's a wonderful thing... The food was insane: the now famous squash ravioli with lemon, sage butter sauce. This time I added some Jamon Serrano (think Prosciutto, but even better - did I say that?) to the sauce and it worked! Then the lamb - which had been marinating in rosemary, sea-salt and garlic - slow cooked on the parrilla in the backyard. Wine was 2001 De Loach Pinot Noir and the desserts were the perfect ending: Key Lime pie, Chocolate Ganache Cake, Coconut and Dulce de Leche crumb cake... yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. OK... so that wasn't really the ending. The ending BEGAN with ice cold chilled Pallini Limoncello. And then, I have to admit that the crowning jewel on the day was the Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cuban Cigar that got smoked down so low I didn't know where the cigar ended and where my fingers began!!!
