Arriving in Rome in the morning, I was so excited to know that we were going to be having lunch somewhere in just a couple of hours! We rented a Turbo diesel Citroen Picasso and headed out of town. First stop was a restaurant in Frosinone and a meal that set the pace for what we would enjoy for the next 10 days. I can close my eyes and remember it all: spaghetti with olives and pine nuts, lamb with wild mushrooms and arugula (pictured) and THE MOST INCREDIBLE after dinner liquor: rattafia - a locally made cherry liquor. Oh, take me back NOW!
