Got home from the a road-trip today to none other than two DOZEN Dennis Oysters from my buddy and fellow High School alumni who is one of the partners in the company. He sent them - fresh as you could dream of - in styrofoam and ice, 2 day air via UPS to Miami, Florida. Now THAT'S a formula for a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Gotta love the tag for "Andy"...
Now you know we had to eat the first dozen straight up out of the bag, shucked with a tiny bit of lime and a splash of hot sauce... these oysters are SO good that you don't want to mess with the beautiful taste of the sea...
The second dozen I had to do in the style of the Oishi oysters I had eaten at the Naked Oyster in Hyannis a few weeks ago: pickled ginger, wasabi, ponzu and soy sauce. UNREAL.
And lastly, we had to put in our best effort at becoming the Southernmost sighting of the Dennis Oyster bumpersticker. If there's been one more south than SOUTH Miami, well... what can we say? But I doubt it!!!!
